The Douglas-fir tree used to make this pen had sprouted in Western Montana in the late 1800's or early 1900's. In 2022 the tree was harvested as part of a forest restoration project.

The pen comes with black titanium trim, powerful magnetic cap that posts, and features one of the world's best steel nibs (German made JoWo Berliner). Available in fine, medium, and broad sizes. Also available in 18k gold for an additional fee. Each pen comes with an ink cartridge, converter, and wood case with forest restoration/tree ring history display card.

The pen comes with a beautiful wooden case for displaying both the pen and an information card describing the tree ring/natural history and forest restoration.

The Forest

Example of a sappling tree used for Tree Ring Watches. In the rugged mountains of Montana, where century old trees grow slowly, wood acquires extraordinary character. In our forest restoration work, we harvest thousands of small trees, only a few have the character to make the grade as a Tree Ring Co. piece.

Gift Box and Display

Each watch comes mounted on a small wood slab nested inside a cherry veneer box. When not being worn, the display stand allows the watch to serve as a small desk or shelf clock.
